An electronic permission issued by the Ethiopian government to those who want to enter the country purely for tourism or other non-business activities is known as a tourist visa.

Things you should know about Ethiopian e-visa

Please refer to the following prerequisites for an Ethiopian e-VISA:

• African state nationals who are unable to pay online for an e-Visa can apply online and pay in cash at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport upon arrival.
• At every stage of the application process, there are crucial notices and instructions that you should carefully read and follow.
• The Ethiopian e-Visa's validity begins on the day you plan to enter the country, not on the day it was issued.
• You must have at least six months left on your passport after the date you want to enter Ethiopia.
• A scanned copy of the passport and a passport-size picture are needed.
• Individuals who hold dual nationality ought to select their citizenship based on the passport they want to use for travel.

Ethiopian Checkpoint Requirements

The following documentation must be shown by any tourist with an authorized eVISA when they arrive at the Ethiopian port of entry:

• Printout of the authorized Ethiopian eVISA;
